5

When is too much pink too much? NEVER!!! If you are 5....

We celebrated my little one's 5th birthday last weekend. She had a "Pink-Princess-Pet Shop" themed party. Remember those bunnies from earlier this summer??? They were a hit! I cut off the bows and created collars for them. The kids got to decorate the collars and name the bunny. Then they filled out adoption certificates. They had a super yummy pull-apart cupcake cake in the shape of a kitten. They made Sandy Candy necklaces. They jumped in a big pink princess castle moonwalk. They played pin the nose on the puppy. They pounded on a pinata stuffed with candy, and then they went home with the cutest cupcake goodie bags (and a major sugar high...) It was a fabulous day!

She made out like a bandit, as she always does, with lots of great gifts from her friends and family. I bought her the most fabulous Lelli Kelly sneakers full of beads and sequins for her big day. I soooo wish they had grown-up sizes too... the ballet flats are adorable!!! Definitely check them out!

I also made her this big, foofy, pink ballerina box. A little over-the-top pink for most of us, but just right for a special 5 year old!

I will have to show you the beautiful dollhouse that my father made for her... and all of the fantastic Club Little House goodies that we received for it!!

I have also been super busy putting things together for Silver Bella, which is quickly approaching!!! Eeek!
I'll share some sneak peeks later this week!!!

Which Witch is Which?

The Halloween Hat Swap that I hosted is wrapping up. I had soooooo much fun with this one! I had the incredibly talented Donna of Under the Red Roof as my partner. Her work is amazing! Visit her blog for a peek at the hat that she made me!!! OMG! Amazing! She is also having a spectacular giveaway that you DO NOT want to miss. 103 sheets of vintage wallpaper!!! Imagine what you can do with that!?!?! Just think of the possibilities.... Sigh....

Here is my little creation for her. I used a paper mache base and decked it out with pretty scrapbooking paper, crepe paper, tulle, a feather boa, flowers, a sparkly spider web, pearly brooch, and of course the sweet little owl...

My hat (and the whole idea of the swap, actually) was inspired by this FANTASTIC hat that I saw at a local shop. Yum!!!

I am really happy with how it turned out... it is much cuter in real life... I promise! I'm not known for taking great photos...LOL. Hope you like it, Donna!!!

Scenes from a Farm Stand

Ahhhhh. I sooooo love being a New Englander! There is nothing like fall in the Northeast! It's harvest time! Yum!
Here are some photos of an adorable local farm stand I stopped at this morning while doing errands. We live in an area with lots of small farms and orchards that produce amazing crops of fruits, vegetables, flowers and plants throughout the summer and fall. We can also be at the ocean, the mountains, or in Boston in about an hour. Love it!!!!

Just Monkeyin' Around...

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! My sister, aunt, and I hosted a baby shower for my cousin. She is expecting a baby boy later this Fall. She is doing a jungle theme for the nursery, so we decided to throw a jungle themed shower! Here is one of my contributions:

This was my first ever diaper cake. I think it turned out pretty cute! And is was sooooo much fun to do! Hopefully there will be more babies coming soon, so I can do more of these!
