Still nesting

Thank you so much for your sweet comments and emails regarding my sister.
We truly appreciate them.
You girls are amazing.

I'm waaaaay behind, but I want to share the boxes that I made for the Petite Inspiration Box Swap: Nesting Edition. This was such a fun swap! I had a such lovely group, plus a few extra one-on-one swappers! Extra fun!

Below is a peek of what was inside the boxes. This particular box was donated to Haiti By Hand, and will be available soon for purchase. German scraps, millinery, spun cotton mushrooms, vintage beads and cabs, little speckled eggs, dotted feathers and more!

I made up a big batch of scrunched and tea-stained seam binding. LOVE these colors! I added several yards to each box.

Next time I will share all of the lovely boxes that I received!!

Nesting

It has been a crazy few weeks around here.
My sister has been in the hospital.
I'm really, really optimistic that things will be ok.
It has just been a very difficult time.
I guess that is when these unexpected things happen, when we least expect them.
Such is life.

I really am blessed with so much.
I've always known it, but situations like this really make you see...
Family is everything.

I apologize for not responding to emails right away and being delayed with orders.
I'm working on catching up.
Thank you for understanding!

A Tisket, A Tasket

Making gift baskets has to be one of my most favorite things to do. I was thrilled to be able to participate in a few recent swaps to create some mini baskets.

The first swap was hosted by Miss Rhea. We each had two partners and had to create little baskets using a recycled yogurt cup as the base. Such a fun swap! Here are the lovely creations and goodies that I received from my partners:

From Joy

From Lynne
These ladies spoiled me!!! Soooo pretty!

I also played along in Heidi's swap. (Be sure to check out her new "babies"... seriously cute!)
Here is the beauty that I came in the mail from Rosalyn-Sue:

LOVE it!!!

PLUS, I won a giveaway from Shelly!!! Such pretty work!

Finally... here are the baskets that I made:

A little bit earthy...

A little bit vintage...

A little sparkle...

So much fun!

Waiting for the Bunny

Just popping (hopping?) in to say hello. It's been a busy week around here. Crazy rain, taxes to finish, Easter preparations. I've woken up every day this week to the sounds of my Littlest One begging to know if the Easter Bunny left her basket yet. Poor thing! Finally, just two more days to go!

We made this Bunny cake for her sister to take to school yesterday. Unfortunately, our cat thought it was for him! As soon as we were done decorating it, I placed it in a bakery box. Then our furry friend decided to sit on it! Let's just say he's a bit on the plump side, and squished this little bunny pretty badly. Luckily the box was closed and after some reconstructive surgery, he looked better. But still a little squished. The kids didn't seem to mind though! :)

My sweet and amazing friend, Barb, made these Peeps shirts for my girls! They can't wait to wear them. Soooo cute!!!

We also made some cascarones. My Little One learned about them in school and was itching to make her own. I think these will be a new fun tradition around here! You can learn how to make your own here, or buy some beautiful ones already made in her shop!

Happy Easter!!!
